HackiOS release status and open-source plans
Current status (October 2026): no public build, no public source code, no official download. This page updates when public information changes.
Release date
The developers have not announced a specific date. According to the developers, the project is being rewritten, fixed, and polished, and will be published only when that work is done. Any claim of a “known release date” has no cited source.
Open source and pricing
According to developer shimokku’s public statements, HackiOS will be completely free — no paywall, paid tier, or premium membership. The team says it will open-source the project when finished.
GitHub and Telegram
Project updates are mainly posted on the Telegram channel oosexgang-developers. Reports mention Snapdragon-driver-related commits in members’ personal repos (wannqn, shimoku74), but there is no officially confirmed public HackiOS repository. This site does not link to unofficial mirrors.
How to spot fake HackiOS “downloads”
- Until the developers make an official announcement, treat any “HackiOS download,” flash package, or one-click installer as suspicious.
- Anything that charges money, requires CAPTCHA farms, follow tasks, or payment to unlock a file contradicts the team’s “completely free” claim.
- Do not flash unknown firmware on a daily-driver phone: brick risk, data loss, or malware.
- Trust only the developers’ own channels; watch for renamed or impersonator accounts.
